Overall objectives and responsibilities
The Test Manager is responsible for the delivery of test services within the Applications team, according the existing release management-, projects- and changes management processes. The test manager defines and improves testing standards and methods, delivers test results according these standards and planning.
In this role you define, agree, implement and execute test delivery between the IS&S test organization and user organizations as well as internal/external customers, frequently report service level performance of the testing department.
You deliver test strategies and plans, test planning and methodology according customer expectation or requirement. You create joint test plans and data sets with customers or across customers and you define and agree with the customer the scope and level of testing, results and evidence gathering. You define and deliver training of end-users and key users, including functional documentation and manuals.
You are successful in the management and communication around test-planning, -standards, -methods, using best practice procedures for IT Test management to the IS&S organisation, operational teams and end customers. You communicate, evaluate & review with internal and external customers the IS&S test delivery. You are a strong builder of relationships with clients.
Furthermore you are responsible for resource management over the IS&S Test Team, as well as arranging resource availability from internal teams and external vendors, in order to satisfy delivery of IT testing according planning. . You ensure that the business processes for IT Testing is compliant with the internal and external Governance policies and procedures. You impose quality assurance and management of the testing process, results and practise.
You will manage and continue improve professionalism, efficiency, effectiveness and repetitiveness of the testing process, methods, tools and team. People management of a team of IT professionals by company values, cascading targets, coaching individuals, performance reviews, personal and team development and career planning. As a key contributor in the delivery of our IS&S solution you contribute to the planning and execution of the IS&S strategy, by close teamwork within the IS&S applications team and with the Business Unit IS&S management team.
Your team
You will lead the IS&S Testing team which exists of 5 to 10 testing professionals. The testing team is part of the IS&S Applications Department. You will report to the Manager Applications France & Benelux.
Required skills and experience
- HBO or higher education degree in IT, Technology or equivalent
- Proven track record in managing IT testing teams and projects in a dynamic international setting within a supply chain or logistics enterprise
- Leadership experience in successfully managing a team of IT professionals
- Strong expertise of best practice for IT Test management, like T-map
- Professional skills in managing test tools and methods
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT Test delivery over multiple teams
- Experience in project management
- Strong capability to establish a relationship with senior managers, customers and suppliers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English
